About

I received my Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) from the University of Texas School of Social Work in Austin, Texas.

While I was a therapist at The University of Texas Counseling and Mental Health Center, I gained extensive clinical experience. I also became interested in working with a diverse population of college undergraduate and graduate students to address the many concerns affecting their personal lives and academic performance.

I started a private practice in 2005.

Personal

Before becoming a psychotherapist, I lived in New York City for 11 years and gained valuable experience working as a media, marketing, and sales professional. Because of the high-pressure “sink-or-swim” environment, I developed useful communication skills, especially my ability to listen effectively. By listening effectively, I establish trust early in therapeutic relationships and help clients prioritize when they have a multitude of concerns.
